Hi.

Welcome to my blog. Here you will find product reviews and makeup looks! Hope you have a nice stay!

May Favorites:

Hello beauties! Did May go by as quickly for you as it did for me? I don't know where the time goes! Here are my favorites for the month, I don't have too many because I haven't worn makeup as much as I usually do but I figured I'd share anyway :)

What are some of your May favorites? I'd love to hear in the comments below ❤

Revlon Colorstay Whipped foundation (around $10.79 - $14.49) :

I love this for warmer weather, it's one of my holy grail foundations. It's great for oily skin, would be perfect for combo to normal skin types. It clings to dry patches at times so I'm not sure how it would be for dry skin, but I think it would definitely be workable. This foundation leaves a gorgeous, airbrushed finish and it has medium but buildable coverage and feels very light on your skin.

I don't love the packaging... It's heavy and bulky, not travel friendly at all. If it's tipped to the side at all, the product will settle in that direction so it can get messy. I'm also not a fan of products in a jar because it's less sanitary, but I love the foundation so much that I deal with it and hope they will change it soon.

Right now I'm wearing the shade 240 Natural Beige but it's a bit too light for me already, so I just bronze my face for some added color, which leads me to my next favorite...

NYC's bronzer in Sunny ($2.79) :

IMG_4392

This is one of my favorite bronzers, it's totally matte and SO cheap. I love this for both warming up my face as well as a simple contour. This is one of those products that I'll always have on-hand in my collection, no matter what.

-

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer ($6.49) :

IMG_4397

I recently picked this up and I was surprised at how much I like it.. I'm very picky when it comes to concealers but I've been using this almost daily.

IMG_4400

It has a doe foot applicator.

IMG_4401

I have the shade Light but I'd say it's more on the medium side.. I don't have a problem with this creasing under my eyes, it's very pigmented and covers dark circles surprisingly well.

-

Milani's Baked Blush in Luminoso ($6.97 - $8.99):

IMG_4409

This has been raved about in the beauty community and I totally understand why. It's a gorgeous orangy-coral with shimmer, which made me nervous at first.. But it is so pretty on and adds a perfect highlight to your cheekbones as well. I plan to get a few more shades!

The packaging is nice, there is a mirror and small brush underneath the blush.
IMG_4415
There's a gold glow to this, and you can see here how sheer or deep you can wear this.

Sedona Lace Dome Contour FB 05 Brush ($12.95 when bought alone):

This is my favorite brush to contour. It is made from natural hairs so you will get some shedding, but if you feel it sheds too much, SL is amazing about replacing any brushes you have problems with. Here is an updated review I posted about this problem and how great they were about replacing them -

Maybelline's Master Precise By Eye Studo in black ($6.44 - $7.99) :

IMG_4420

I've never been huge on felt tip eyeliner pens but I've been enjoying this one. I can't use liquid liner because my lashes are so long, they get in the way and the liner turns into a mess (I suppose a good problem to have?).. So I always avoided felt tips thinking I would have the same problem, but since the tip isn't flimsy like liquid liners, I can easily get over/around my lashes and get a clean line.

IMG_4422

I love this for days when I don't have the time to apply gel liner and the tip makes it easy to create a clean wing.

IMG_4424

It's very pigmented and I don't have a problem with fading or smudging. Slightly glossy when first applied but dries without any shine.

Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Butter Body Gel Oil ($5.34) :

IMG_4436

This is a love it or hate it product... I highly suggest you apply a little bit on the back of your hand or arm while in store before you purchase to see if you'll like it or not.. It's VERY much an oil... Don't let the gel part fool you. I wouldn't recommend applying this in the AM or before leaving the house because it is very greasy. I like to apply this after a shower before bed.. I'll throw on a big comfy t-shirt and this soaks in by morning and leaves my skin super soft. The smell is nice, I've really been loving these new Vaseline products!

*Do NOT use this on your face!
