I wanted to get up my favorites before August was over... I don't have too many this month, I've tried my best not to buy a ton of products lately! So it isn't very exciting but my birthday is coming up in October so by then I should have at least a little excitement going on, product wise :)
The Coastal Scents 10 Blush Palette... I've been using this pretty much every day. Here is a review and swatches I did on this, I won't go too into detail so head on over to check that out if you're interested! I love this palette, great choices of colors and the pigmentation is impressive for such a low price!
These are probably my favorite makeup wipes. They have just enough moisture, not too dry but not super wet. They claim to compare to Pond's and I'd have to agree, they are pretty similar except I like these even better. This is the smaller pack that costs $2.99 and the larger pack is around $6 I believe.. They remove makeup pretty well and aren't too harsh on my skin. I would definitely recommend still following through with a cleanser to fully remove all makeup but I like these for the first step of my nightly routine.
Jordana's Baby Berry lip liner... I love this for under pink lipsticks.. It is definitely a deeper pink on my lips, probably not best if you're going for a light pink lip.... This and the other shades are all amazing. Hands down my favorite lip liners, here is a review with swatches!
Loreal's Wisteria Rose... Every day that I wear a pink lip, this is the shade I go for... LOVE it! HERE is a review of this and one other shade from the new pink collection... I'm just spamming you guys up with my reviews today lol sorry! These lipsticks are great, smooth and creamy. Very pigmented! This color is fantastic.
Rimmel London's 60 Seconds Polish in Sweet Lavender and Maybelline's Color Show Polka Dots in Pretty In Polka!
These Rimmel polishes cost $1.50!!! They aren't exactly the longest lasting ever, but for that cheap it's hard to complain and the colors in the line are all gorgeous! And they do dry pretty quickly, I must say..... As for the Maybelline, ugh. I love it! I definitely need to pick up more of these Color Show polishes!
You've heard me rave about Rimmel's Scandaleyes liners... Well this one is another favorite of mine! I absolutely love this one for tightlining. The lasting power is great. The shade I have is Noir (LOVE the name) and it's just perfect. These aren't as creamy as the Scandaleyes, but still very smooth and easy to apply. I haven't tried this on my lids, I strictly use it for the waterline because it lasts so well.
It is a twist up! But.....
On the end it has a sharpener! I wish all retractible liners would do this. Great to make sure you have a sharp tip at all times (although mine sure doesn't :) )
And it also has a smudger :)
Last but certainly not least... The Sonia Kashuk Weekender Bag! I've been wanting one for months and they are sold out at my Target every single time! Every maybe... 6 months or so, it seems they release a new print of these bags. Not only the weekender style but also many others. Here is the bag on Target's site... It is $30, pretty expensive to me but the quality is amazing and wait until you see the inside!
There are two zippered sides.
One side, on the left is a huge see through section - you can hold a ton of stuff in there. On the right side there is a large zipper, also a smaller one at the top which could be great for bobby pins and hair ties.. And that bottom section is for makeup brushes! (that see through flap is to keep the bristles protected)
And the other side.... On the right is a large pocket type area. And on the left, two plastic cases that are removable! Velcro keeping them attached; these are a great size and can be taken out and used on their own if you want!
So although this bag is fairly expensive, the quality is amazing and you can carry so many things in here! I'm way too excited about it hahaha :)
Okay babies, so those are my favorites for August! Hard to believe it'll be September tomorrow already! Good luck to those of you heading back to school!
