"Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love."
- Rainer Maria Rilke
Hey babies! How are you?
Wet N Wild has come insanely far over these past few years.. From a drugstore makeup line that was easily passed over to a respected company that just about everyone loves... When I talk about drugstore products and pigmentation, I now think Wet N Wild... Eyeshadows, lipsticks and blushes - OH MY! The pigmentation on their products are probably the best in the drugstore, and the prices are some of the cheapest you'll find.
Today I want to talk about three of their Color Icon blushes. There are four shades in this collection, the one I don't own is called Berry Shimmer - it's a deep berry shade with a lot of sparkle. Just not my cup of tea, but I think it would be gorgeous on deeper skin tones!
The three shades I own - and love - are:
From left to right: Heather Silk, Mellow Wine, and Pearlescent Pink.
These are the most pigmented blushes you can find in the drugstore! Beautiful colors and they last forever on the cheeks! Swatches and price are at the end!
Heather Silk is a gorgeous bright pink. Totally matte, insanely pigmented.
Mellow Wine is a gorgeous dusty rose color, also totally matte.
Pearlescent Pink is just about the same color as Mellow Wine, maybe slightly lighter and it has beautiful gold shimmers in it. This is the blush you want to choose for that beautiful glow without using a highlight. I have heard this is a dupe for Nars' Orgasm blush, but I don't own it so I can't say for sure!
Left to right: Heather Silk, Mellow Wine, Pearlescent Pink (slightly more shimmery in person)
These blushes are fantastic. Hands down my favorite from the drugstore.. They are creamy, not chalky or powdery, have great lasting power and they blend really well... Make sure you use a light hand when applying or else you may end up looking like a clown - they are that pigmented!
Are you ready for the price?...... $2.99!!! And you can almost always find good deals at the drugstore; buy one get one 1/2 off and such.... AMAZING! :)
That's all for now! I hope you had an amazing weekend <3
