L'Oréal Infallible Eyeshadows:

"Self love is the elixir of an immortal heart."

- Amy Leigh Mercree

Hello there! How are you?

L'Oréal Infallible eyeshadows are some of my all-time favorite shadows from the drugstore. The pigmentation is insane, the packaging is cute and the colors are beautiful. I own three shades so far, and I plan to get more!

lf1The Infallible eyeshadows are pretty much pressed pigments; on L'Oréal's site it says they: "contain ultra concentrated colour pigments, for an intense colour finish and up to 24 hour long-lasting hold." They also claim to be crease-proof and waterproof.

-

I agree with this claim 100%! The pigmentation is top notch and they last on your eyes all day. They feel almost like a cream to the touch, very soft and smooth! These do create some fallout so I recommend you tap the excess product off your brush before you apply, and dab them onto the eyelid to really pack the color on. If you want them super bold, applying with your fingers seems to really give you the most color payoff, but a dense eyeshadow brush works amazingly too!

The metallic shades do crease on me if I put them higher than my lids, but are absolutely no trouble when packed onto my lids.. The less metallic shades (there are a couple mattes in this collection as well) do not crease on me at all.

These cost from around $6.99 to $8.49, all depending on where you get them from! Walmart and Target usually have the cheapest prices; but the drugstores almost always have deals going on, whether it's coupons or BOGO 50% off.

We'll start with the packaging first!

packaging1They are in beautiful plastic square containers, with a round twist off top/bottom. You can see the product through the square side, which I love. You know what you are getting when you look at these in the store. And on the twist off cap has the name of each shadow.

packaging3They are fairly thin and easy to store, either stacked like this or on their sides. I love that they are square so they don't roll all over in my vanity drawer!

packaging 2Inside is a plastic stopper type thing; KEEP THIS! It is what keeps the shadow pressed and neat.

On to the colors!

First, Amber Rush:

Iced Latte:

icedlatteswatch2It's a cream color with a pink-ish undertone, super metallic and just gorgeous. I love this all over the lid, or for the perfect inner corner highlight!

Smoldering Plum:

smolderingplum3This is the first shade I purchased.. An absolutely gorgeous deep, dark, almost brownish/black purple with pink shimmers.

smolderingplumswatch2Photos don't even do these shadows justice. This shade is less metallic than the others, the pink shimmers take the place of that and do it beautifully. It adds a totally different dimension to a shade that could have come off as just a plain, deep purple. It so beautiful and unique, I love this to smoke out looks!

*I purchased these products with my own money. These opinions are and ALWAYS will be 100% my own!*
