A few weeks ago I won a contest Jordana Cosmetics was having on their facebook page - this is the second I've won in a few months! I don't think many people try so I highly suggest following their Twitter and Facebook, there's a good chance you could win too!
For those of you who don't know of Jordana products, they are a drugstore brand that can be found at Walgreens and K-Mart. They are super affordable and everything I have tried so far has been absolutely amazing quality!
I won two of their 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencils; I've been dying to try these! They were doing contests daily - or weekly, I can't remember - for two of these pencils in different shades. They sent me the two shades I wanted the most, so excited!
Continuous Almond and Tenacious Brown.
These are jumbo eyeshadow pencils, just like NYX's - they need to be sharpened so you'll need a jumbo pencil sharpener (you can get them at CVS, and NYX sells one as well).
There are 8 shades: a white, black, light pink, turquoise, purple, emerald, and the two I received which are a almond/cream color and a deep brown.
The claims: Long lasting - up to 12 hours, water resistant, crease-proof, paraben free and easy to use.
First I'll show you the shades and swatches and then tell you how I feel about them:
Continuous Almond - a matte finish
Tenacious Brown - a matte finish
I am SO impressed with these! I like these even more than NYX's pencils! They are insanely creamy, soft and smooth. Crazy pigmented and I love that they are totally matte. They glide on like a dream and give you time to blend them in, but once they set - they stay put! I don't know about the 12 hour claim but they definitely have a fantastic staying power. I haven't had trouble with creasing as long as I blend them in really well and don't put on too thick of a layer; these are best used as bases so applying shadow over top also helps prevent creasing. I also like the packaging more than the NYX pencils because the caps on those always crack on me and these ones seem much more sturdy, which is good because on the pencil it says to always close the cap tightly, so these definitely need to be sealed properly to ensure they don't dry out. I haven't had them long enough to say whether they dry out with time or not, but the cap secures on nicely so I don't see that being a problem later on.
These only cost $3.99!!! I am in love! I'm going to go buy every shade, and some for my makeup kit as well.
Have you tried any of these? If so, which shades are your favorite?
