Buxom Lip Gloss in White Russian:

"Pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick, and pull yourself together."

- Liz Taylor

Hey dolls! I am back!! Did you miss me as much as I missed you? :)

I grabbed my first Buxom lip gloss in my Sephora haul last week and was really excited to give it a try. These glosses have been raved about for a long time and the shade White Russian is definitely the most popular out of them all.

You can purchase Buxom glosses at Bare Escentual's individual stores as well as Sephora! Unfortunately as far as I know, Buxom is no longer at Ulta (BE's other glosses are sold there but for some reason not Buxom).

These glosses cost $19! Definitely a more high end product, I don't think I could ever bring myself to buy a gloss this expensive when ones from the drugstore are so amazing.. But since I had a gift card, I figured I'd give it a try.

wr3I love the packaging. It's a frosted tube with a silver twist off top and silver writing. The name of the gloss is written on the bottom, per usual. The wand is a typical doe-foot applicator.

wrswatch1The shade White Russian is a creamy nude-pink with absolutely no shimmers or sparkles.

wrswatch3Here are lip swatches in different lighting, with just bare lips under the gloss. It has a beautiful shine and a tiny bit of color to it, this would be a great gloss for over a nude or pink lip, as well as for toning down brighter shades.. White Russian actually reminds me a lot of my HG gloss from Revlon that was discontinued, Peach Petal... So it's nice to have this, even if it is much more expensive. It's just that perfect nude gloss with a hint of pink.

As for the formula.... It's not too thick, not too sticky but just enough stick to last on your lips for a while, if you know what I mean. What's unique about these glosses are they are super cooling once you apply.. The second you put this on, it just feels so weird! Cooling is the first and only word I can think of. I wouldn't exactly say tingly.. Maybe after 5 or so minutes it starts feeling kind of tingly but this cooling sensation lasts for a long time! It's definitely odd, it has taken me some time to get used to it but it's pretty cool. These smell delicious as well, that vanilla cupcake type scent. Delicious!

Overall, I'm enjoying this gloss. Would I run to repurchase another? No, not for $19... You guys know I'm a drugstore queen so I just can't see myself spending so much when like I said, there are amazing glosses with similar formulas from the drugstore (aside from the cooling sensation; but I can easily live without it).. I'd spring for one of the many Buxom gift sets that go on sale every year during the holiday's though! Always keep an eye out for those if you are interested in trying some of these! I've seen a few sets with White Russian included so that's always a plus :)

I hope you're having a fantastic day! I'm testing out a bunch of products right now so more reviews on the way :)
