Makeup Geek Eyeshadows - Part 2!

"Have the purest intentions for what you said you'd do and do it bravely."

Hello, my loves!!

As many of you know, Makeup Geek is by far one of my favorite makeup brands. I haven't tried all of their products yet, but the eyeshadows are hands down some of the best in the industry - and some of the most affordable!! You will find MAC dupes, and these are half the price.... Some, even better quality than MAC. I can't rave about these enough. A few months ago I ordered more shades for my Z-Palette.. If you want to see the review & swatches of the other shades I own, head over to that post!

You can purchase these shades in pan form for $5.99 each or in a compact for $7.99.

Let's start with White Lies:

IMG_2307White Lies is described as a,  "Matte Pure White"

IMG_2345It can be difficult to swatch but the pigmentation is very nice, not too powdery, great consistency. I love using this for an inner-corner/brow-bone highlight.

Shimma Shimma:

IMG_2309Shimma Shimma is described as, "Metallic Champagne"

IMG_2342This shade is absolutely stunning. Pictures don't do it justice, there is a glow and shine to this and is beautiful all over the lid or for highlighting (even the cheekbones!).. I did find a dupe - in the Motives Mavens Palette. This is one of the most popular shades, for good reason!

Beaches & Cream:

IMG_2311Beaches & Cream is described as a, "Creamy matte natural beige with just a hint of peach".

IMG_2337This shade is pretty close to my skin color so it'll be hard to see but this is a perfect transition and blending shade. Lovely pigmentation!

Peach Smoothie:

IMG_2312Peach Smoothie is described as, "A light peach beige with a soft matte finish".

IMG_2334A step-up from Beaches & Cream, another fantastic blending and transition shade. I use this shade literally with almost every single look. Throw this in your crease to warm up the look, to blend, or just on its own! I love putting Shimma Shimma on my lids and then blending this messily in the crease, throw on a ton of mascara and you have a simple but gorgeous summery look.

IMG_2315Frappe is described as a, "Medium maple brown matte".

IMG_2332This shade is beautiful, nice pigmentation. Perfect for warming up your look!

IMG_2316Bitten is described as a, "Matte deep maroon red".

IMG_2326This shade is SO beautiful. I don't own anything like it! Nice pigmentation, creamy and not powdery at all. This is another favorite of mine. It's just such a perfect wine shade, awesome for any season!

IMG_2320Corrupt is described as a, "Intense matte black with a very subtle sparkle".

IMG_2324Corrupt is the blackest black you will find. Period. The subtle sparkle mentioned is more prominent in the pan. When swatched it gives a slight sheen but definitely not any sparkle or glitter. And once on the eyes, it's a total matte. This should be a staple in everyone's collection. The pigmentation is phenomenal, it's so soft and creamy. And probably the easiest to blend black I have ever used.

I can't say enough good things about these eyeshadows. Makeup Geek in general is an amazing company. Everything is made in the US and all products are cruelty free. The owner Marlena is the sweetest woman ever.. She deserves all the hype she's getting for these products. I highly recommend them, and all of MUG in general.

You can purchase MUG products on the Makeup Geek website.
